Deborah Gray

Deborah Gray is a Registered Psychologist based in Coburg, Melbourne, who specialises in community psychology. Currently pursuing her endorsement in Community Psychology, she has a strong foundation in psychology from Deakin University and community psychology from Victoria University. With a prior background as an Accountant and Business Systems Analyst, Deborah brings a unique perspective to her practice.
Deborah’s approach is rooted in community psychology values, emphasising respect for cultural and human diversity, and fostering individual, family, and community empowerment. She utilises a contextual analysis that explores the sociocultural and ecological factors contributing to psychosocial stress, distress, and trauma.

Deborah has extensive experience supporting clients across the lifespan, from childhood through to older adulthood. Her practice includes:

- Assisting adults with disabilities, including neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and intellectual disabilities, as well as psychosocial disabilities.
- Addressing mental health challenges in adults, including anxiety disorders, major depressive disorder, co-occurring anxiety and mood disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, sleep disorders, somatic and dissociative symptoms, and addictions.
- Supporting parents and caregivers of children and adolescents with neurodevelopmental conditions, mental health challenges, school attendance issues, substance misuse, and bullying, as well as career education and development.
- Supporting the mental health and well-being of parents and caregivers.
- Promoting healthy aging across the lifespan, assisting individuals during transitional periods such as moving out of home, transitioning from secondary school to study or work, and navigating retirement, including support for older adults with the MyAgedCare system.
