Drawing on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, Kate creates a relaxed and informal practice environment focused on emotional safety and support. She prioritises self-understanding within the broader social contexts and systems in which her clients live. Kate values each person’s strengths and lived experiences, striving to cultivate a space of compassion, authenticity, and collaboration where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their goals.
Kate has a particular interest in working with young people and adults who are newly diagnosed or exploring their neurodivergence. She provides a gentle, non-judgmental space, walking alongside clients on their journey of self-discovery.
She works with private-paying clients, Medicare referrals, and NDIS participants, offering both short-term interventions and longer-term support under the NDIS framework.
In her previous roles, Kate has contributed to positive behaviour support, community development, health promotion, advocacy, and research in the fields of disability, aging, and children and families. She integrates the principles of community psychology into her clinical work, emphasising empowerment, collaboration, social justice, respect for diversity, and ecological systems.
Kate is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the Australia Association of Psychologists.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys researching her next travel destination, relaxing with family (including her pet dog Hughie), spending time in nature, and indulging in crime and medical shows.
